This winter has come in with a bang of cold and wet so hopefully will go out in a whimper. One can hope can't they?
Anyways, I'm very thankful that we decided not to breed till later so that we have a better chance this year of the kids being born in decent weather. We do have heated pens that we can bring them into but last year a couple surprised us by trying to have their kids outside in the cold.
The kids should start arriving by the end of March. Chanel looks as if she might have twins. Delilah and Fiona look bred. I'm not sure if Anastasia is. She's not very big but her belly is taught and she's always been the fittest.
One thing the winter is good for is getting any inside chores done that I don't normally have time for. It's also a great time to experiment with knitting and weaving ideas. I've started making my grand daughters hats with ears. The first one is a "Wolfie" hat that went to my youngest grand daughter for Christmas. The next is a "Polar Bear" hat that is going to my middle grand daughter for her birthday today. Will post that picture later.
Stay warm my friends!
